Yesterday, former President Donald Trump was arraigned on 34 separate counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.
Dear, Friend
Yesterday, former President Donald Trump entered the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse in New York and was arraigned on 34 separate counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, which is a felony.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said the former president allegedly created false business records to pay former adult film actor Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal hush money in return for their silence regarding their extramarital affairs with Trump.
This indictment and arrest won’t change our lives as we know them nor save us from the systems of oppression that plague working people.
We know that members of our own community have been sentenced to prison for daring to stand up against police brutality. (Watch the press conference following the sentencing hearings of Jessica Lopez, Taylor Enterline, and Alexa Wise)
These two events show the enormous disparity between one of the wealthiest men in the world and a local Lancaster student experiencing the injustice of the US criminal system.
It’s up to us to continue fighting for equity and justice in a world where there seems to be none.
We have a lot of work to do.
In solidarity,
— Eddie and Ashleigh
