We are witnessing an unprecedented moment in our nation’s history. This week, the Trump administration has deployed Marines and more National Guard troops to Los Angeles amid peaceful protests—The MAGA regime hopes to turn us against each other, scapegoating immigrants while they advance their assault on anyone who opposes their agenda. Trump and the billionaires backing him are attempting a hostile takeover of our government and believe that if they can spread lies about immigrants, they can attack anyone who does not look, live or love like them. As the United States continues to slip toward authoritarianism, it’s more important than ever that we raise our voices and stand together.
The proposed “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” is yet another assault on working families. If passed, this bill would strip 11 million people of Medicaid and leave 15 million without health insurance. It would gut billions from social services, all to fund tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. Even some Republicans are breaking ranks, divided over the bill’s reckless deficit spending, and may vote no.
We need our senators to join them and VOTE NO on Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” Our communities deserve leaders who put people before profits and who will stand up for the most vulnerable among us.
This Saturday, as President Trump plans a lavish military parade in Washington, D.C.—on the same day as his 79th birthday—hundreds of “No Kings” anti-Trump military parade protests are being organized nationwide. The parade, which is estimated to cost taxpayers at least $45 million, is not just a show of force; it’s a dangerous distraction from the real issues facing Americans and a celebration of authoritarian power. The Army is even expected to pay for any damage its vehicles cause to city streets—yet another burden on the public.
Now is not the time to be complacent. Our rights, our health, and our democracy are on the line. Your community and your country need you. Join the movement—show up, speak out, and demand a future where all of us are free and cared for.
Take Action:
- Contact your senators and urge them to vote NO on the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
- Join a local “No Kings” protest this Saturday—stand in solidarity with communities across the country.
- Share this message with your friends and family. The more voices, the stronger we are.
Together, we can defend our values and protect our future. Thank you for everything you do.
With hope and solidarity,
Edwin, Mary, Hannah and Alec: PA Stands Up Comms Team
