Briana (she/her) is a longtime community activist and organizer. She started as a teenager with a newsblog driven around Latinx Positivity and from there I created an Open Mic and Poetry workshop geared to Queer youth looking for a safe creative space as a teen. Briana’s professional experience began almost 4 years ago protesting outside of Kamala Harris’ residence for Immigration Justice. In her time as a Regional Organizer, Briana was part of the effort to restore incarcerated individuals rights, implement community crisis response teams, create welcome hubs for displaced residents, and provide language access for all. Her work is deeply rooted in the intersection of justice and liberation and how we can strive for a world we do not have to heal from.
