PA Stands Up members are gearing up to mobilize in Harrisburg as proud partners of Pennsylvanians Against Yass Billionaires and Corporations (PAYBAC), which prioritizes healthy homes, good-paying jobs, and lower utility bills through Whole Home Repairs over Jeffrey Yass’ corporate agenda.
We have to make tough spending decisions every day, Friend. Do I have enough money in the bank to pay my electric and water bills before payday? Summer camp tuition is coming due, but I need to make my student loan payment, and my rent went up again.
Just as we have budgets in our own households, legislators in Harrisburg decide where and how to allocate our state’s resources, and these decisions impact our household budgets more than they want you to know. Do you want to be left out of that decision?
It’s crucial for us to take a stand and make our voices heard in Pennsylvania’s budget decisions. We can’t let corrupt billionaires like Yass dictate how our tax dollars are spent.
Join us in Harrisburg on June 10 to show Governor Josh Shapiro that our communities need resources for our people, not for the pockets of the ultra-wealthy. Let’s make sure our state budget reflects our priorities—because whether we’re Black, brown, or white, we all want the tools and opportunity to build a good life for ourselves and our families.
You are the backbone of democracy in Pennsylvania. Without you, the loudest voices in Harrisburg will continue to be billionaires like Jeffrey Yass. It’s up to us to fight for a fair and just budget for Pennsylvania. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear.
