Our Democracy has become dysfunctional, with the wants of the wealthy few being prioritized over the needs of the rest of us. But real change starts at the local level. If you want to be a part of the solution, become a volunteer and/or a dues-paying member today!
Our Teams
Our working teams are made up of people who do the work, from week to week, that makes Lancaster Stands Up so successful.

Communications Team
Our communications team handles the ongoing work of writing emails, making social media posts, designing graphics, and managing our blog in order to keep our members, volunteers, and supporters in the loop.
Meetings: Weekly on Wednesdays at 6pm, virtually

Electoral Team
Our electoral team is tasked with facilitating our member endorsements of local candidates that share our values, and working to make sure that those leaders win on Election Day. We also work through elections by co-governing with our elected officials to create and support legislation that works for all of us.

Housing Team
Our housing team is at the forefront of our Stop the Sweeps Campaign. We do research, knock doors, and so much more to support our homeless neighbors so they can rest with dignity.
Meetings: Weekly on Thursdays at 5pm, virtually

Membership Team
Our membership team seeks to engage, absorb, and train our growing member base. The membership team surveys our members, coordinates member events, hosts our monthly new member onboardings, and much more.

Labor Team
Our labor team works to build relationships with and support organized labor across the county.

Queer Solidarity and Liberation Team
We’re running a campaign to protect our LGBTQ+ neighbors from workplace discrimination by pressuring our state legislators to pass the Fairness Act. We’re working to mobilize our members to make their voices heard, and tell Senators Scott Martin and Ryan Aument that everyone should have the right to live without fear of persecution.
