News You Can Use: Election Edition 10/11

October 11, 2022

News You Can Use to get involved in this election the week of October 11th!

As fall sets in, the leaves are starting to turn and we're seeing more Halloween decorations on the doors we've been knocking in the last week. It's also starting to get a bit chilly now and then, so we're bundling up a bit more these days.

As mail-in ballots start to go out to voters, don't forget to bundle up your ballot, too, in that little secrecy envelop that comes with it, and be sure to SIGN and DATE the back of it before you send it back in or drop it at your nearest drop box. If you haven't requested a mail-in or absentee ballot, be sure to do so ASAP. (The deadline is Nov 1st, but don't wait!)

If you're planning to vote in person, make a plan now about when you'll vote on Tuesday November 8th, or locate an early voting station in your county to cast your ballot before election day.

Now's also a great moment to noodle your loved ones and coworkers and, heck, even people in the line for one of those pumpkin spiced drink things about participating in our democracy, too. The last day people can register to vote is Monday, Oct 24th.
