New job posting: Deputy Communications Director

We're seeking an expert communicator and media practitioner, who is committed to telling the story of organizing and people-powered campaigns. This person will work closely with our local chapter leaders to influence public debate, maintain contact with the press, carry out digital advocacy campaigns, and tell the story of our work for change across Pennsylvania.

The Communications Deputy Director for Chapters is primarily responsible for coordinating and supporting the public-facing communications work of Pennsylvania Stands Up chapters across the state.

Writing and communications skills are among the most important skills required for this position, as this person will be responsible for writing and editing public-facing materials that will be made available for chapters (e.g., sample and template emails, web content, social media posts, press releases, etc.).

This is a political leadership position in the organization, responsible for helping to develop and implement the media and messaging strategy at the chapter level, in collaboration with other PA Stands Up staff.
