Political Director

Pennsylvania Stands Up is hiring a Political Director to develop and implement our political strategy to take on an entrenched system and revitalize our democracy. This person will be part of the organization’s senior leadership and work closely with external partners including candidates, electeds, grassroots organizations, labor and other stakeholders. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing electoral, issue, and/or base building campaigns, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a sophisticated analysis of the current political landscape. This is a position of political leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative environment; the work will require travel (when COVID safe), weeknight, and weekend hours. The position will ideally be based anywhere in our geographic footprint (eastern PA), but remote work is possible. This position will be directly supervised by PA Stand Up’s Executive Director.

PA Stands Up is an independent people-powered organization, by and for the many. We organize working people—Black, white, and brown—across Pennsylvania's cities, towns, and rural areas. Our chapters develop grassroots leaders and organization to make a difference on issues and in elections. Together we're building the durable infrastructure that's needed to win governing power and enact a bold agenda for the common good.
