Finance Director

Pennsylvania Stands Up seeks a Finance Director to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting of our three organizational entities: PA Stands Up, PA Stands Up Institute and PA Stands Up State PAC. Our budget and organizing capacity have grown to $2.5M annually, and we currently have over 20 employees. We anticipate further growth in 2021 and desire a Finance Director to be comfortable creating systems that can scale as our movement does. The ideal Finance Director has experience with managing accounting and bookkeeping within 501(c) non profits, and state and federal level political action committees. The Finance Director will orient their work to allow for our movement to expand at a fast and sustainable rate across all program areas.

PA Stands Up is an independent political organization by and for the many. We organize black, brown and white working people across Pennsylvania's cities, towns and rural areas. Our chapters in Erie, Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Cumberland, Dauphin, York, Berks, and Philadelphia counties build grassroots leadership, fight on our issues, and win elections. Together, we are building the durable political infrastructure necessary to win governing power and enact bold, redistributive measures for the common good.

Key Relationships: Managing Director, Accountant, Office and Executive Assistant

Location: Philadelphia, but flexible for ideal candidate

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Finance manages all financial strategies, programs and systems needed to support the organizations’ growth and sustainability.


The ideal candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range is $65-75,000 FTE. PA Stands Up offers a competitive benefits package with 100% paid premiums for health care, dental and vision for employees.
